What is Digital Nomad Trip Reports?

Our mission, how it works, and more đŸ‘‰ïž

Hey, Chris here! Welcome to Digital Nomad Trip Reports or DNTR

DNTR is for you if you’re living -or curious about!- the digital nomad lifestyle.

Whether you’re a 10-year veteran, a new-nomad, or just curious - you’ll be glued to Digital Nomad Trip Reports 📄

It doesn’t matter if you’re arriving in your 1st or 500th destination, one of the biggest unknowns in any nomadic journey is what’s waiting for you.

For many that unknown is part of the appeal.

But it means that -without going everywhere- it’s difficult to zero in on the places you know you’ll really love.

Those same unknowns also mean it takes time to truly integrate.

  • What are the best areas?

  • Will other nomads be there? How can I meet them?

  • Which supermarkets are good? What gyms are good?

I’ve been living nomad life since 2018, and these are the kind of questions you constantly hear

They swirl around communal areas at coliving spaces.
They’re conversation starters at nomad meetups.
They fill space at coworking lunches.

But these convos are deeper than they seem on the surface.

They’re a gateways to a person’s world view, their perspective on life, work, and relationships.

They connect us. They unite us.

They create the possibility for long lasting friendships, business relationships, and more

The DNTR Mission is to take those conversations, and explode their impact across the internet.

To take those 1-1 exchanges, and make them 1-many.

Amplifying the impact of every voice in the nomad community - including yours.

So together, we can enjoy more of the world.

A fresh report gets sent every Friday & you can read it in 5mins or less.

Digital Nomad Trip Reports make the unknowns known - by crowdsourcing Trip Reports from real-life nomads.

🧠 The DNTR promise: help you ‘know before you go’

Our own experience of digital nomad life through the years helps shape the report structure, and we quality control all contributions to make sure what we’re sending is worth reading.

How did the Digital Nomad Trip Reports Newsletter get started?

Digital Nomad Trip Reports are not new.

They’ve appeared infrequently over the years in different corners of the internet 🌐

First, I spotted them on Reddit. And initially started sharing them on Linkedin.

But sharing with a dedicated newsletter brings scalability & searchability - making these reports even more effective in helping people know before they go.

How can I contribute? 💭

Share your experience of a location by submitting a trip report.

You get full credit, obviously.

And there’s a section where you can share what you do and how people can follow you.

- if you’d prefer to remain anonymous, that’s ok, too.

Digital Nomad Trip Reports are community sourced đŸ«¶

DNTR only works because of nomads just like YOU

We’re all in this together, and submitting a report is your chance to give back to the community ♻

Submitting takes 15-20 minutes, but your report lives on for new & existing nomads forever!

Can I see a trip report for somewhere specific?

Once you’re subscribed to DNTR, you can see all previous report, including searching by tags, or free text here.

You can also reply to any of our reports & let us know where you’d like to see a future report for.

We’ll do our best to source one from our extended network of tens of thousands of nomads! đŸ§‘â€đŸ’»

See you in your inbox with the next report!

Thanks
Chris
